Miguel A. Montiel is CSTI president and has been practicing as a speech and language pathologist for over twenty years. Miguel was born in Nogales, AZ received his Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. He has a passion for working with kids of all ages and strives to provide dynamic, entertaining, and evidence based speech and language services. He enjoys mentoring graduate students and speech and language pathologists who are beginning their careers. Miguel has participated and served as a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association’s Continuing Education Board, Student To Empowered Professional (S.T.E.P) mentorship program, and Minority Student Leadership Program. Miguel is married to his beautiful wife of twenty years, Andrea, and enjoys watching his three daughters Lilia, Sophia, and Paola participate in activities such as martial arts, volleyball, track and field, and piano. Miguel enjoys hiking, camping, surfing, playing golf, and watching Padres baseball.
